Jessica Simpson Gives Birth to Daughter Birdie Mae Johnson

And baby Birdie makes five: Jessica Simpson has given birth to daughter Birdie Mae Johnson, the singer/actress announced Wednesday (March 20) on social media.

“We are so happy and proud to announce the birth of our perfect daughter, Birdie Mae Johnson,” Simpson captioned an Instagram snap of the newborn along with her weight — 10 lbs., 13 oz. — and Tuesday date of birth.

The baby is the star’s third child with her husband, former NFL quarterback Eric Johnson. The couple also shares daughter Maxwell Drew, 6, and son Ace Knute, 5.

In January, the “With You” songstress revealed the name she and Johnson had chosen during a “Birdie’s Nest”-themed baby shower. During her difficult pregnancy, Simpson often documented her myriad of gestation-related health complications on social media, including pregnancy acid reflux, sciatica and a particularly memorable swollen foot.
