Local and regional news can be heard weekdays on WLEC starting at 6 AM and continuing through 6 PM.
Local and regional news can be heard weekdays on WCPZ 102.7 FM & WMJK 100.9 FM starting at 6 AM and continuing through 10 AM, with another newscast scheduled at approximately 11:50 AM.
Our local and regional news coverage is produced, directed and anchored by News Director Steve Shoffner, who has been with our local stations since 1994. Steve can also be heard anchoring local newscasts on our sister station AM 1600 WTTF out of Tiffin.
We provide top of the hour news reports on WLEC 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – as long as we are not in any specialty sports, religious or other programming at the time. Those same national network reports can be heard weekday mornings on both WCPZ & WMJK and as needed during breaking news events.
The Ohio News Network (ONN) also provides hourly reports at the top of every hour on WLEC from 6 AM until 6 PM Monday through Friday and from 6 AM until 12 Noon on Saturday’s.
