During the Scott Gast Memorial Plaque Dedication Saturday August 29, 2015 at the Huron Boat Basin Amphitheatre, we were treated to a performance by Little Kids Rock. The Huron St. Peter Little Kids Rock program was founded in 2012 by Bo & Julie Loeffler in collaboration with John Cipiti, co-chair of the Music Department at Terra State Community College. Huron St. Peter was the first Catholic school in the nation to establish & support a Little Kids Rock program, teaching kids in grades 1-8 how to make, perform and sing rock n roll music. During the ceremony, the kids blew the crowd away with an amazing version of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
In Scott Gast’s memory & legacy, the Scott Gast Memorial Fund donated three new guitars to the program. If you’d like to donate to keep this amazing program alive, send donations to Bo Loeffler at Huron St. Peter School, or to Little Kids Rock, 409 Anchorage Circle, Huron, OH 44839.
