TODAY’S DIRT IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY FREMONT FEDERAL CREDIT UNION

HOLLYWOOD DIRT RETURNS MONDAY OCTOBER 22.
AND NOW, NEWS FROM FRIDAY OCTOBER 12:

Kanye West and President Trump had their meeting at the White House Oval Office Thursday, and those expecting Kanye to be Kanye weren’t disappointed. The rapper and designer went on long-winded, uninterrupted rants, both when speaking to the President and answering questions from the press. Kanye spoke informally and used language rarely heard in the Oval Office, calling himself a “crazy mother[effer].” Kanye and POTUS were both respectful of one another, taking turns stroking each other’s egos. At one point, Trump said that Kanye likes him and West corrected the statement, saying he “loves” him, and walked around the table to dap him up and pose for a quick picture. Kanye brought up some issues important to him, like prison reform. He also appeared to advocate for the release of former Gangster Disciples leader Larry Hoover, who he called a “block leader” and a “living statue.” There was also some talk about abolishing the 13th Amendment because it’s an unlucky number, and a vision for Trump Factories and Yeezy Ideation Centers in Chicago. Kanye also talked about being diagnosed as bi-polar. It was something we have rarely seen… President Trump just sat and listened, allowing him to field the press pool’s questions. As for whether Kanye’s words have the potential to effect change, that’s unclear. Trump declared himself “open-minded.” After their chat, Kanye, The Donald, NFL legend Jim Brown, Ivanka and Jared Kushner attended a private luncheon. (TMZ)

A judge has dismissed one of Harvey Weinstein’s three sexual assault cases. Prosecutors said actress Lucia Evans “had given a witness a different version of the alleged sex assault from the one she had given them.” She initially claimed the producer forced her to perform oral sex on him in 2004. Weinstein’s lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, said he’d seek to have the remaining five charges involving two women dismissed as well. (BBC)

According to one source, “He hates doing press, so he’s been a bit of a pill. He did not like that New York Times profile on him at all.” He’s not a fan of all the personal questions reporters ask. The final season of Game of Thrones is scheduled to air this spring and producers of the show went to great lengths during filming to keep spoilers to a minimum. They shot alternate endings. They gave cast members self-destructing scripts. And, they also used a secret weapon to shoot down drones trying to peek at the action while cameras were rolling. They actually had a rifle-like device capable of shooting down drones within a half-mile radius. In the coming months, we’ll see how successful all these tactics were at keeping the secrets of the show under wraps. (Entertainment Weekly)
