Empire returned Wednesday night to FOX with an explosive episode. But there’s even more drama backstage. Taraji P. Henson and guest star Nia Long were reportedly “at each other’s throats.” Sources claim that crew in hair, makeup and wardrobe filed a formal complaint against Long, who was “habitually late.” Tensions grew and producers found ways to shoot so the actresses never had to be on set together. Her reps deny these accounts. (TMZ)

William Shatner’s feud with Bachelor star Nick Viall is over. Shatner even started a Twitter campaign to get him voted off Dancing With the Stars. Shatner says he’s not a fan of the reality star’s bad behavior on The Bachelorette, Bachelor In Paradise and The Bachelor. Shatner has since offered an olive branch, tweeting. “Hey @viallnicholas28, Will you accept this [peace rose]?” (Gossip Cop)

Comedian Artie Lange admitted he was arrested for drug possession and says he was fired from the HBO show, Crashing.  Executive producer Judd Apatow says that’s not true. He says Artie is still on the show. Artie says he’s been clean since he was arrested two weeks ago with heroin and cocaine.  Source: Page Six

Jay Mohr is in the process of divorcing his estranged wife, Nikki Cox. Mohr says Cox is dealing with mental problems and is abusing drugs and is requesting sole custody of their 5-year-old son. Her reps have not commented. Source: People

Don’t believe the tabloid story in Hollywood Life that claims Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting back together.  A source close to Pitt says the story is untrue. Source: Gossip Cop

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been tapped to speak at the University of Houston’s 2017 commencement. He’s waived his $40,000 speaker fee to headline the graduation ceremony. Turns out, his reps had negotiated the deal and when he found out, he kicked the payment plan back. Source: University of Houston

Shia LaBeouf’s anti-Trump project, HEWILLNOTDIVIDE.US, has moved overseas. Now, the livestream protest is housed at the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT) in Liverpool, UK.

Patricia Arquette is being honored for her activism instead of her acting. The Oscar-winner is this year’s recipient of the Vanguard Award at the annual GLAAD Media Awards, which celebrates those making a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance of LGBTQ people. She is set to pay tribute to her late sister, Alexis during the event.

CBS has ordered their 2017-2018 line-up. Returning shows include Blue Bloods, Kevin Can Wait 48 Hours and 60 Minutes, in addition to newbie shows, Bull, Kevin Can Wait, MacGyver, Man with a Plan and Superior Donuts. No word yet on 2 Broke Girls, The Amazing Race, Criminal Minds, and most of the other shows in the lineup. Source: TV Guide

James Franco and Seth Rogen are teaming up for the first time behind the camera to develop a 90’s teen drama. The hour-long series is currently untitled and in early development. Source: Yahoo

Top Chef is heading to Colorado with all of the judges including host and judge Padma Lakshmi, head judge Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Graham Elliot returning. Production is set to start this spring and will premiere later this year.

HGTV is celebrating its highest-rated, most-watched year ever, and they announced some new shows to keep the momentum going. Chip and Joanna Gaines, hosts of the top-rated Fixer Upper, have a new spin-off series, Fixer Upper: Behind the Design, focusing on Joanna’s designs. Flip or Flop will expand with five new duos and titles set in cities across the United States. And Home Town premiered this week, starring Mississippi-based home renovation experts, Ben and Erin Napier. HGTV also added new installments to its House Hunters franchise, including Beach Hunters, which travels to exquisite beach destinations and House Hunters Family, where the whole family gets a say in the home buying process.
